Why do people enjoy working at Life Pharmacy?
Our team is made up of people from vastly diverse backgrounds, and the roles vary greatly throughout our stores and at our Central Support Office. Yet ask any Life Pharmacy team member what they enjoy about working with us, and you'll get surprisingly similar answers.
Our team tells us that they enjoy:
Having been in Retail Pharmacy for over twenty five years, I find that working for Life Pharmacy has given me the professional satisfaction that I have always aspired for. I thoroughly enjoy the experience of working in a friendly environment where we all fit in like a family and have the opportunity to improve our knowledge through training. My position at Life Pharmacy has offered the best career path for me since I joined the group two years ago, and it keeps getting better.
Madhu, Over-the-Counter (OTC) Pharmacy Assistant
A good Retail Manager is a real people person - a good listener, a good communicator, and someone who is understanding and knows what is going on in the business all the time. The main functions of my position are making sure the daily running of the pharmacy is smooth and that stock levels are adequate and the shelves maintained. I ensure customer needs are met and that any special requests are followed up. I also look after my team of staff, keeping them up to date with training and coaching. The most rewarding aspect of my job is seeing my team making a real difference to a customer. Working with the Life Pharmacy brand is really satisfying as there are plenty of opportunities to grow within the Life Pharmacy Group. There is strong support and ongoing training, and I respect the fact that the Life Pharmacy Group is ethical and professional in all aspects of
the business.
Sandra, Retail Manager
My association with Life Pharmacy began when I started as a part-time team member during the school holidays at Life Pharmacy Manukau. When I began university I took up a part time position with Life Pharmacy 277. During my time at 277 I worked in the general pharmacy area of the store and also in serviced cosmetics. After concluding my studies at Auckland University I began my current position with Life Pharmacy Central Office. My experience with Life Pharmacy has been exciting, enjoyable and very rewarding. My in-store experience has been invaluable to me in my current position.
Kristy, Merchandise Assistant - Personal Care/General Merchandise
While working at Life Pharmacy I have progressed from being a part time Over-the-Counter (OTC) Assistant when I was a student, to an Intern Pharmacist and finally to a full Pharmacist role. Recently I have completed the Team Leader training and am enjoying the challenge and rewards from coaching staff to reach their potentials. Life Pharmacy provides great opportunities to develop, and actively encourages you to broaden your skill base and take on challenges. The unique team environment fosters great relations between staff, while increasing productivity and customer satisfaction. Life Pharmacy is a great place to work, which leads to job satisfaction
and enjoyment.
Felicity, Pharmacist
I love the challenge of making it work! From choosing the right team members, to giving them the tools and an environment where they can excel, to letting the team feel the 'drive and passion' - that is what makes our store great. My role involves liaising with the Central Office team and key suppliers to develop and follow through on promotions, events and launches, driving the team to always succeed and look at how to do it better. I am passionate about the Life Pharmacy brand, and the vision of the group gives us all opportunities to achieve and be successful.
